About the event
Metta comes from the Pali word Maitrī that means benevolence, loving-kindness, friendliness, amity, goodwill, and active interest in others. It is the first of the four sublime states and one of the ten pāramīs of the Theravāda school of Buddhism. The cultivation of benevolence is a popular form of Buddhist meditation.
With guidance, we will practice loving-kindness meditation in combination with sound healing, a powerful way to calm the mind & raise the vibrations!
Tibetan singing bowls produce a deep, penetrating sound that’s used to relax and repair the mind. A 2016 study found that singing bowl meditation reduced stress, anger, depression, and fatigue. All of these things are known to impact physical health and raise the risk for disease, suggesting that singing bowl therapy may be good for your physical, as well as emotional, well-being.
This is will be a 45-minute session via Zoom!
Come Prepare
This is a meditation you could do on your bed, couch, yoga mat, or meditation cushion. I suggest to lay down during the meditation for more profound relaxation! Have everything ready before the session. We will start sharp at 9:00 pm ET. Doors to the virtual studio will be open at 8:50!
Can't wait to meet you!
